Kentucky Pea Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. frozen peas (10 oz. each)
    1 medium onion, diced
    1/4 c. butter
    1 can mushroom soup
    1 can water chestnuts, sliced
    1 jar (8 oz.) pimientos
    1 can fried onion rings
Preparation
    Cook peas for 3 minutes and drain.
    Saute diced onion in butter; add mushroom soup, chestnuts and pimientos; mix.
    Add precooked peas.
    Place in 9 x 13 x 2-inch casserole and top with onions.
    Bake at 350\u00b0
    for 25 to 30 minutes.
