English Nut Toffee - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. cold water
Preparation

Bring ingredients to hard-crack stage (285\u00b0 to 290\u00b0), then spread on a cookie sheet. When cool, spread with melted chocolate and sprinkle with chopped nuts. Press nuts down slightly. When cold, turn candy over and do the same. Candy may break, but it doesn't matter. When cold,\tbreak into pieces.
