Rosy Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 ready made pie crusts
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 c. red cinnamon candies
    5 medium cooking apples, sliced
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. lemon juice
    4 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, water and cinnamon candies; cook until candies dissolve.
    Pare, core and slice apples; add to sugar mixture.
    Simmer until apples are red. Drain; save syrup.
    Blend flour into cooled syrup and add lemon juice.
    Spread apples in a pastry-lined 9-inch pie plate.
    Pour syrup over apples.
    Dot with butter.
    Cover with top crust; seal and flute edges.
    Cut slits for escape of steam.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 30 minutes, or until desired brownness.
