Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. milk
3 egg yolks
1/2 stick margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
3 egg whites
1 pie shell, baked
6 tsp. sugar
Preparation

Combine cornstarch, sugar and salt.
Mix egg yolks and milk. Add to sugar and cornstarch mixture.
Cook slowly over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick.
Remove from heat.
Add vanilla and margarine.
Pour into baked pie shell.
