Banana Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. (1 stick) butter or oleo (lite may be used)
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. mashed bananas (3 bananas)
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts (optional)
    2 c. sifted regular all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt (may be omitted)
Preparation
    Butter loaf pan or spray with any fat free spray (Pam, etc.) Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In a mixing bowl, cream butter; gradually add sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
    Beat in eggs, one at a time.
    Blend in bananas and nuts.
    Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture, beating only until blended.
    Turn into pan.
    Bake 45 to 50 minutes.
    Cool in pan on wire rack 10 minutes; turn out of pan to cool.
    Makes 1 loaf.
