Cubed Steaks With Peppers - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 beef cubed steaks
2 Tbsp. cooking oil
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
1 medium green pepper, cut into strips
1 small onion, sliced and separated into rings
1/2 tsp. dried basil, crushed
1/4 tsp. dried oregano, crushed
1/4 c. cold water
1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
Preparation

Season meat with salt and pepper.
In large skillet brown meat on both sides in hot oil, drain off fat.
Add undrained tomatoes, the green peppers, onion, basil, oregano and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Cover and simmer 20 minutes.
Remove meat to serving platter. Blend together cold water and flour.
Stir into mixture in skillet.
Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.
Cook 1 to 2 minutes more.
Serve mixture over meat.
