Ingredients

1 c. flour, sifted
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. low-fat margarine
3 tsp. granulated sugar substitute
3/4 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate, shaved
1/2 c. nuts
Preparation

Sift together flour, salt and baking soda.
Cream margarine; add sweetener, vanilla and egg; blend well.
Add flour mixture and stir well.
Mix in chocolate and nuts.
Drop by teaspoonfuls on lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for about 10 to 12 minutes.
Yield:
3 dozen cookies.
Carbohydrate 4.8 g, protein 1.0 g, fat 3.2 g, calories 50.
One cookie = 1/4 bread exchange, 1 fat exchange.
