Ingredients

1 c. butter
2 c. granulated sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
3 1/2 to 4 c. flour
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar together.
Add eggs and vanilla and beat until fluffy.
Mix dry ingredients together and beat into batter until a soft dough forms.
Refrigerate several hours or overnight.
