Plain Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
3 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 lb. margarine
1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. milk
5 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 tsp. lemon flavoring
Preparation

Sift flour and baking powder.
Cream sugar, margarine and Crisco.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Blend well.
Add milk and flour a little at a time.
Blend well.
Add vanilla and lemon flavoring. Bake as layer cake or in a tube pan.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour in a tube pan.
Bake layer cake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes or until brown and firm.
