Mom'S Baked Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. yellow-eyed beans
    1/2 lb. salt pork
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/3 c. sugar
Preparation
    Sort beans the night before and soak overnight.
    Next day, rinse.
    Cook beans (panboil) in about 1/2 teaspoon soda until skins break when blown on.
    Rinse again.
    Bring to a boil.
    Simmer 30 minutes.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Cook until tender (2 to 3 hours).
