Butter Pecan Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter, softened
    2/3 c. packed brown sugar
    1 egg
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    pecan halves
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar; blend in egg.
    Stir together flour and 1/2 teaspoon salt; stir into creamed mixture.
    Chill 1 hour.
    Form into 1-inch balls; place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten in one direction with fork tines; top each with a pecan half.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
    Makes 4 dozen.
