Black Walnut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter
    1/2 c. Crisco
    3 c. sugar
    5 eggs
    5 tsp. rum flavoring
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. cake flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. half and half cream
    1 c. chopped black walnuts
Preparation
    Cream butter and shortening well.
    Add sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs one at a time.
    Add flavoring and beat again.
    Add dry ingredients alternately with cream; start with flour and end with flour.
    Add walnuts which have been lightly floured.
    Bake in greased and floured tube cake pan at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
    Cool cake 10 minutes before removing from pan.
