Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. all-purpose flour (or 3 Tbsp. cornstarch is better)
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
3 slightly beaten egg yolks
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flaked coconut
Preparation

In saucepan, combine sugar, flour and salt; gradually stir in milk.
Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture boils and thickens.
Cook 2 minutes longer.
Remove from heat.
Stir small amount of hot mixture into yolks; return to hot mixture and cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat; add butter, coconut and vanilla.
Cool to room temperature.
Pour into baked pastry shell.
