Red Velvet Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
7 eggs
1 1/2 c. shortening
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. buttermilk
2 tsp. vanilla
1 oz. red cake coloring
Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening.
Add eggs, beating after each addition.
Mix dry ingredients; add alternately with milk.
Add vanilla and food coloring.
You may desire more coloring than an ounce.
Bake in a tube pan at 325\u00b0 for 90 minutes.
