Custard Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. milk, scalded
    2 c. day old bread cubes
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    2 Tbsp. melted butter or margarine
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
    Pour milk over bread cubes.
    Add salt and
    sugar.
    Beat
    eggs; add to bread mixture with butter and vanilla,
    mix well.
    Pour into 1 1/2-quart greased casserole.
    Set casserole in a pan with hot water within 1 inch of top.
    Bake
    50 to 60 minutes, or until knife inserted near rim comes out clean. Makes 8 servings.
