Never Fail Fudge(Holiday Recipe) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. margarine
    18 oz. chocolate chips
    4 1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    12 oz. can evaporated milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    In a large mixing bowl, cut up margarine and chocolate chips. Grease a jelly roll pan lightly and line with wax paper. In a large saucepan, combine the sugar, cream of tartar, salt and evaporated milk. Mix well and cook over moderate heat to a bubbly boil. Then time for exactly 6 minutes. Remove from heat and pour over margarine and chocolate chips. Stir until dissolved. Add vanilla and nuts. Pour into pan at room temperature, then put in refrigerator for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Then cut into pieces.
