1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. drained pineapple
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg, well beaten
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. nuts, chopped pecans
2 c. flour
Preparation

Cream shortening with sugars; add egg and vanilla.
Sift flour and other dry ingredients to mixture.
Add nuts.
Bake
at 400\u00b0 until golden brown.
