3 1/2 c. peeled and sliced apples
1/2 c. water
3 Tbsp. lemon juice
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar (all one kind or may mix)
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
1 c. butter or margarine
2 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
Preparation

Arrange apples in greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
Combine water and lemon juice; sprinkle over apples.
Combine flour, sugar, cinnamon and salt.
Cut in butter until crumbly.
Mix in cheese lightly and spread over apples.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is crisp.
Serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
