Lacy Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. (2 1/2 c.) brown sugar
    1/2 lb. butter or margarine
    1 egg
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. Mothers oats
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar together thoroughly.
    Add vanilla, egg and blend in salt and oats.
    Chill several hours in refrigerator. Make small balls and place far apart on aluminum foil on cookie sheet.
    bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes, until brown.
    Slide foil onto rack and let cool.
    Cookies will then peel from foil.
    Makes 7 to 8 dozen.
