Yellow Squash Puffs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 lb. yellow squash, sliced
    1 egg, beaten
    1/3 c. all-purpose flour
    1/3 c. yellow corn meal
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 medium onion, minced
    vegetable oil
Preparation
    Cook squash in boiling water until tender; drain and mash. Measure 1 cup squash.
    Combine with egg; stir well.
    Combine dry ingredients.
    Add squash and onion; stir well.
    Drop by spoonfuls into hot oil; turn once when golden.
