Easy Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. sugar
    1 qt. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. each: allspice, mustard seed, celery seed, turmeric and cinnamon
Preparation
    Slice cucumbers in large plastic dishpan.
    Salt lightly.
    Cover with ice and let stand for 2 hours.
    Rinse and dry on big towels. Pack cucumbers in jars and pour the mixture of sugar, vinegar and spices boiling over them.
    Seal.
