Cherry Shortbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine
    3 c. flour
    2/3 c. brown sugar
    3/4 c. maraschino cherries
    1/2 c. nuts
Preparation
    Combine ingredients in a bowl and add just enough cherry juice to mix and form into rolls of dough.
    Wrap rolls of dough in wax paper and chill overnight.
    Slice each roll into slices 1/4-inch thick.
    Place slices on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until lightly brown.
    For an extra touch, roll the dough in nuts or in red sugar before chilling.
