Grandma'S Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. flour
    4 tsp. soda
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 Tbsp. ginger
    3 c. molasses
    1 c. lard, melted
    1/2 c. butter, melted
    10 Tbsp. boiling water (or 3/4 c.)
Preparation
    Combine molasses, shortening and boiling water, mix well with flour, soda and spices.
    Blend well, let stand at least 2 hours or overnight.
    Roll out to 1/4-inch thick, cut and sprinkle with sugar.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
