Smothered Okra - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 lb. okra
1 medium chopped onion
1/4 c. cooking oil
2 small cans (8 oz.) tomato sauce
2 Tbsp. salt
Preparation

Wash and slice okra thin.
Put in large stainless steel pot that you have already poured cooking oil into.
Add tomato sauce and salt; cook on low fire, stirring often.
Cover pot between stirrings.
Cook on low fire about 45 minutes, stirring often.
