Ingredients

3/4 c. light brown sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1/2 stick sweet butter
1/2 c. heavy cream
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation

Combine all ingredients except for vanilla in a heavy saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
From the time the sauce comes to a full rolling boil, boil it 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from the burner.
Add the vanilla.
Let cool and serve or pour it into a container.
Will keep in the pantry for 1 week; warm before serving.
Very good over Haagen dazas Vanilla Swiss Almond ice cream.
