Corn Bread Supreme - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. corn meal
    1 egg
    1/2 c. dairy sour cream
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 (8 oz.) can cream-style corn
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 c. corn oil
Preparation
    Mix thoroughly first 6 ingredients.
    Heat oil until very hot in 7 or 8-inch skillet and add to corn meal mixture.
    Pour into skillet and bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until brown.
    You may add to this 1/2 cup grated Cheddar cheese and two jalapeno peppers.
    This is a version of Mexican corn bread which is very good.
