Pecan Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. sugar or brown sugar
1 c. chopped pecans
1 egg, well beaten
1 c. milk
4 Tbsp. melted shortening
Preparation

Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
Stir in nuts.
Combine egg, milk and shortening.
Add to flour mixture and blend only until all flour is moistened.
Bake in greased loaf pan in moderate oven at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until done.
Store several hours or overnight before slicing.
