Honey Squash Pie(Modern) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
cold water
3 eggs
2 c. cooked strained squash
1/2 c. honey
1 1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. ginger
Preparation

Sift flour and salt into bowl; add shortening.
Cut in with pastry blender until combined.
Cut in a small amount of water to hold together from bowl.
Roll on floured board; fit into 10-inch pie pan, letting pastry hang over 1/2 inch.
Fold under extra 1/2 inch; flute edges.
