Baked Apples - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 medium cooking apples
1/2 c. raisins, snipped pitted whole dates or mixed dried fruit bits
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/3 c. apple juice
Preparation

Core apples; peel a strip from the top of each.
Place apples in 2-quart casserole.
Combine the raisins, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Spoon into center of apples.
Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 40 to 45 minutes or until apples are tender, basting occasionally with the cooking liquid.
Serve warm with ice cream, light cream or yogurt, if desired.
Serves 4.
