Pepper Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. shortening
1 Tbsp. flour
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. catsup
3 Tbsp. soy sauce
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 beef bouillon cube
1 garlic clove
1/2 c. finely chopped onion
1 lb. round steak, cut into small bite-size slices or cubes
1/2 box fresh mushrooms
1 medium bell pepper, cut into rings
1 medium onion, cut into rings
Preparation

Brown meat in shortening.
Blend flour into the shortening from which the meat was removed.
Add catsup, water, soy sauce, pepper, bouillon cube, minced garlic and chopped onion.
Bring to a boil, lower heat to simmer for 20 minutes.
Drop meat into sauce and cook only until tender.
