Fried Okra And Squash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. fresh cut okra
    2 c. fresh sliced squash
    1 sliced onion
    1 egg
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 c. flour
    1 c. corn meal
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Mix the
    okra,\tsquash\tand onions; salt and pepper the mixture.
    Combine
    and
    beat
    the egg and buttermilk.
    Dip the vegetable mixture
    in the egg and buttermilk.
    Drain.
    Mix the flour and meal together in a separate bowl.
    Batter the dipped vegetable mixture in the meal and flour.
    Deep fry to a golden brown.
