Wild Rice Oven Pilaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. boiling water
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. regular brown rice
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. wild rice
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. shredded carrot
    1/2 c. loose-pack frozen peas
    1/4 c. toasted chopped pecans
Preparation
    In a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish, combine boiling water and butter; stir until butter is melted.
    Stir in brown rice, wild rice, onion, salt and pepper.
    Cover.
    Bake in a 375\u00b0 oven for 70 minutes, stirring once.
    Stir in carrots and frozen peas.
    Cover and bake about 10 minutes more or until rice is tender.
    Sprinkle pecans on top.
    Makes 4 to 6 side dish servings.
