Pecan Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 to 2 c. chopped pecans
    1 1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1/4 c. cream
    2 tsp. vanilla
    4 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugar, eggs and cream.
    Add vanilla, salt, baking powder, flour and nuts.
    Drop by walnut sized balls on cookie sheets.
    Dip a glass bottom in sugar and press each ball flat.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 until lightly browned.
