Date Nut Roll - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. dates
    6 c. sugar
    2 c. milk
    butter
    2 c. nuts or more
    2 or 3 Tbsp. cornstarch or corn syrup
Preparation
    Cook milk, sugar, butter and syrup to a soft ball.
    Add dates. Cook a little harder.
    Beat until the mixture is creamy.
    Add nuts.
    Wet hands and make 2 rolls.
    Roll in wax paper.
    Cut in rounds.
