Sheila'S Irish Soda Bread - cooking recipe

3 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation

Cut 1/4 lb. margarine into the above mixture. Add 2 Tbsp. caraway seeds, 1 c. raisins (loosely packed). Add 1 1/2 c. buttermilk. Stir until all moistened. Grease and flour a heavy pan or 10 inch cast iron skillet. Cut a cross into dough, bake 45 minutes to 1 hour at 350\u00b0. After about 30 minutes in oven, rub a stick of margarine over the top and around the sides of pan.
