Christmas Fruit Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/2 Tbsp. buttermilk
    1 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. allspice
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 c. bourbon
    1/2 lb. white raisins
    1/2 lb. candied cherries
    1/2 lb. candied pineapple
    1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar; beat in eggs and add vanilla. Dissolve soda in buttermilk.
    Combine 1 cup flour and spices; add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk and bourbon.
    Beat well after each addition.
    Coat fruit with 1/2 cup flour; stir fruit and nuts into batter.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheets and bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes.
    Makes 6 dozen cookies.
