Whole Wheat Banana Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    3/4 c. brown sugar or raw sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. unsifted stoneground whole wheat flour
    1/2 c. unsifted unbleached white flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    3/4 tsp. sea salt
    1 1/4 c. mashed ripe bananas (two large or three small)
    1/4 c. buttermilk or yogurt
    2 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    dash of salt
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. buttermilk (sour milk)
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cut shortening into dry ingredients.
    Then take out a handful and reserve for the topping.
    Add liquid.
    Pour into unbaked 9-inch pie shell.
    Sprinkle with reserved topping.
    Bake 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Serves 6 to 8.
