Southern Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
2 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/3 c. shortening
2/3 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda in bowl. Cut in shortening until crumbly.
Add buttermilk; mix well. Knead on floured surface until smooth.
Roll 1/2-inch thick on floured surface.
Cut with biscuit cutter.
Place on lightly greased baking sheet.
Bake at 425\u00b0
for 15 to 20 minutes, or until light brown.
