Ham And Swiss Hero Sandwiches - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
3 Tbsp. mayonnaise or salad dressing
1 Tbsp. Dijon or prepared mustard
1 (1 lb.) loaf French bread, cut in half, lengthwise
1/2 to 3/4 lb. thinly sliced, cooked ham
2 c. shredded lettuce
1 large tomato, thinly sliced
8 thin slices Swiss cheese
3 to 4 thin slices red onion, separated into rings
Preparation

In small bowl, combine cream cheese, mayonnaise and mustard; blend well.
Spread cut surfaces of bread halves with cream cheese mixture.
Place bottom half of bread on large ungreased cookie sheet.
Layer with ham, lettuce, tomato, cheese and onion.
Cover loosely with plastic wrap.
Refrigerate 1 to 2 hours to blend flavors.
To serve, cut into slices.
Makes 8 servings.
