Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box German chocolate cake mix
    14 oz. bag caramels, unwrapped
    3/4 c. evaporated milk
    1/2 c. margarine
    6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
    1 c. nuts
Preparation
    Mix box of cake mix as directed.
    Pour 1/2 of batter into a 9 x 13-inch pan and bake for 15 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven.
    Mix the caramels with the evaporated milk and the margarine.
    Melt these 3 ingredients over low heat.
    Pour mixture over baked cake and sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts over caramel mixture.
    Pour rest of cake mixture over this and bake 15 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Frost with chocolate cream frosting, if desired.
