Swedish Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks butter or oleo
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla or almond flavoring
    2 1/2 c. regular flour or wheat flour
Preparation
    Beat the ingredients with eggbeaters until soft enough to put into cookie press.
    Press the dough into long strips on a greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0, depending on your oven. Leave in the oven 8 minutes.
    If slightly tan at edges, turn the pan for just a few minutes.
    When other side turns tan at edges, take out of oven.
    When still hot, cut the strips in smaller pieces, the length you prefer.
    Cool.
    When cold, put in box with tight cover.
