German Red Cabbage(Sweet And Sour) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small head shredded red cabbage
    1 medium onion, diced
    2 medium unpeeled apples, chopped (1 3/4 c.)
    1/4 c. red wine vinegar
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/4 c. water
    2 Tbsp. bacon bites
Preparation
    Combine the above ingredients.
    Cover tightly and steam until the cabbage is tender (several hours).
    After the cabbage is cooked, add about 2 tablespoons flour and stir.
    Cook until the mixture is thickened.
    Add more flour if necessary.
