Freezer Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head cabbage
    1 medium carrot, grated
    1 medium sweet pepper, sliced
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. water
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Mix chopped cabbage and salt together.
    Let stand 1 hour. Squeeze out juice.
    Add carrot and pepper, while cabbage is standing.
    Make syrup of vinegar, water, sugar, celery seed and mustard seed.
    Bring syrup to a boil.
    Cook for 1 minute.
    Let stand until lukewarm.
    Pour over cabbage mixture.
    Mix and place in containers to freeze.
    This can be thawed and refrozen several times.
