Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening (part butter)
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. sugar
    2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix shortening, 1 cup sugar and eggs until fluffy.
    In a separate bowl, mix flour, soda and salt thoroughly and add to shortening mixture.
    Roll dough into 1 1/2-inch balls.
    Then mix 2 teaspoons sugar with cinnamon and roll balls into cinnamon mixture.
    Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake until cookies are set (about 10 minutes).
    Makes 2 dozen.
