Scalloped Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. potatoes (6 medium)
    3 Tbsp. margarine or butter
    3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 1/2 c. milk
    1 small onion, finely chopped
    1 Tbsp. margarine or butter
Preparation
    Prepare potatoes.
    Cut to measure about 4 cups.
    Heat 3 tablespoons of butter until melted.
    Add flour, salt and pepper. Cook over low heat.
    Remove from heat and stir in milk.
    Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
    Boil 1 minute.
    Arrange potatoes in greased casserole, 3 layers, topping each with 1/2 of the onion and 1/3 of the white sauce.
    Cover and bake in a 325\u00b0 oven for 40 minutes.
    Uncover and bake until potatoes are tender, 60 to 70 minutes longer.
