Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening (Crisco)
    2 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 oz. bottle red food coloring
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 oz. water
    2 1/2 c. plain flour
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. chocolate (cocoa)
    1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugar and eggs.
    Add vanilla and salt.
    Mix water, cocoa and food coloring.
    Add to sugar mixture.
    Add buttermilk and flour slowly and beat.
    Add soda that has been dissolved in vinegar.
