60 Minute Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 to 4 1/2 c. flour
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    2 pkg. dry yeast
    1 c. milk
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 stick margarine (1/4 c.)
Preparation
In a large bowl, thoroughly mix 1 1/2 cups of the flour, sugar, salt and the yeast.
Combine milk, water and butter in a saucepan. Heat until very warm (do not boil or let get real warm, it will \"kill\" the yeast).
The butter does not need to melt.
Gradually add warm mixture to dry ingredients and stir or beat for 2 minutes, scraping bowl as you work.
Add 1/2 cup more of the flour.
Stir. Gradually add more of the flour until you have a soft ball.
Knead and add more of the flour as necessary to make smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, large enough for it to double in size. Set bowl in a pan of warm water and cover.
Let rise until double. Make sure bowl is warm.
When ready, shape into rolls and put in greased pan.
Let rise in warm place, covered and free from drafts. Bake at 425\u00b0 about 12 to 15 minutes or until done.
