Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. milk
    1/2 c. sugar
    pinch of salt
    1/3 c. rice (River rice)
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    Put first 4 ingredients in double boiler and boil until rice is tender, about 1/2 hour to 1 hour or more.
    Beat 1 egg and add 1/2 cup milk.
    Stir in the first mixture.
    Very good.
