Broccoli Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 bunch broccoli, cut in bite size pieces
    1 lb. bacon, fried crisp, drained and crumbled (about 1/2 c.)
    1 small onion, chopped fine
    8 oz. raisins
    8 oz. dry roasted unsalted peanuts, pecans or walnuts
    1/2 c. celery, chopped fine
    8 oz. salad dressing or mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
    1/2 c. sugar
    8 oz. sharp Cheddar cheese (optional)
Preparation
    Combine sugar, salad dressing and vinegar.
    Mix long enough for the sugar to be absorbed.
    Toss with the rest of the ingredients; chill and enjoy.
