Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. blackberry jam
3 egg yolks
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. soda
1/4 c. sour cream
3 egg whites
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Beat in egg yolks.
Stir in jam.
Mix flour with other dry ingredients.
Add flour mixture in about 3 parts alternately with sour cream.
Beat batter after each addition until well blended.
Bake cake in two greased 9-inch pans at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 40 minutes.
When cool, ice with following.
